        Broken Toe Woe

          I guess I've seen this brand before but they'd never stood out. Recently I had been in a major hunt like never before to find the perfect boot for my right foot specifically as I broke my toe last year and it's caused a ton of problems since (due to swelling I didn't realize it was out of place and now that it's "healed" it's crooked and causing unbelievable strain on other parts of my foot...even tho doctor's can't do too much for a broken toe, hear me out, go to the doctor, could save you loads of pain and hassle later on) So in the meantime, before my toe/foot problem can be fixed, I'm still needing to be on my feet daily for work and have been suffering majorly in every boot or shoe I wear for longer than an hour. I finally stumple upon these shoes which...to be honest, aren't exactly my style. I would prefer something more sleek, more "sophisticated" while still being casual and somewhat earthy. I can't say what caught my eye but I wanted to try them on immediately. It was the last one, happened to be in my size...more expensive than I wanted to buy for something supposed to be specifically for work (it was at a discount shoe store tho, so still great deal at $80 something), but once my foot was in, though I took my time in the store to think about it, I absolutely could not take them off. The thought of putting on any other shoe almost brought me to tears in anticipation of pain. So I bought them, never taking them off my feet but for the brief moment at checkout. That was several weeks ago and I have worn them every day but one since...and even that day I changed back into these later! I'm about to wash them for the first time. Really great feature! Hope there's nothing extra I need to know! If you're curious, I'm 32 years old, have very slender feet and heal, fairly high arch, and have never felt the need to be too picky about shoes in my life until now. I work at Starbucks and so do plenty if standing, running to back, squatting...I'm super active when there. Before these shoes, I'd spend most of my eight hr shift finding moments to pick my right foot up to give it relief and had a hard time focusing due to pain keeping most my thoughts. Since these boots, I've barely thought about my foot which is just amazing as far as I'm concerned. Now that spring is slowly making it's way to us, I'm wondering if I can swing another pair appropriate for the warmer months as I just don't know that other brands are gonna make the cut now that I know what's possible.

          Nothing but praise for this company. They were a good company to work with, shipping was timely and the product was what I expected. Regarding the Arcopedico brand, they are great. My feet are quite happy in the shoes.

          I've been wearing these nonstop ever since the weather turned cool. Perfect for the San Francisco Bay Area winters. Go with everything. They mold to my foot, which is important because I have a high instep so have trouble getting boots to fit that aren't lace-ups, but this fit perfectly. I also appreciate the great arch support. I wear a 5 wide, but the 5.5 narrow works fine for me in this style. Will be buying more in different colors. I now have only the black.
