About Dromedaris Footwear

Dromedaris got its name from a sailing ship that brought the first European settlers to South Africa in 1652, and later to the Dutch East Indies. In the spirit of this adventurous journey, Werner Wyrsch began his own journey in the shoe business, and contributed to a variety of brands in many different capacities. In 1992 he and Ana de Pina created a company that provided technical shoe manufacturing services. After 15 years of operating as a sourcing company, Dromedaris created its own brand of footwear.

What Sets Dromedaris Footwear Apart?

Dromedaris strives to have as low a carbon footprint as possible. Using eco-friendly materials such as a 50% recycled rubber outsole and a recycled cork midsole along with a natural cork sock lining, Dromedaris strives to use materials produced within a radius of 120 miles of where they are harvested to create their fully recycled Dromedaris boots and shoes.

Each Dromedaris shoe contains its patented 3D Technology. With a soft cushion near the metatarsals, lateral stability and arch support near the arch, and anti shock foam by the heel, this technology provides three different densities in the footbed for outstanding support and comfort.

Additionally, Carbosan® technology is a carbon-activated system that provides antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and odor absorbing properties that help keep your feet cool and dry.
